In business, I hear this saying all the time. Most of the time, it’s about money and the profit margin. We all want to make money, and we all need to be mindful of the bottom line. However, the problem with this philosophy is that when it comes to a company being profitable, it must never solely be about the bottom line.
Your bottom line needs to start from a moral perspective. Consider questions like: Is it the truth? Is it fair? Is it what I would do if I owned the business? And finally, and most importantly, is it what Jesus would do?
I am no financial genius, but I do have common sense. I’ve made enough mistakes in my life to learn never to pursue a goal by bypassing my moral compass. I have learned this the hard way, paying a heavy price for some of my ambitions while neglecting my morality.
Litefoot was founded and continues to operate by this ethos—an ethos learned from the experiences of a flawed man over many years. May we never, ever forget what the bottom line really is.
God bless.
