Owning a small business is, to say the least, interesting. Being in the technology industry, with its constantly changing versions, product functions, new technologies, mergers, and anything else you can imagine, makes it a constant grind to keep up. The industry has changed, and just like in every other industry, we seem hell-bent on making the sale. That’s a good thing, as long as morality comes before the sale. Customers deserve respect, they deserve the truth, and they deserve the service they’ve paid for.
I look around every part of our culture, and it’s obvious that we have forgotten the importance of a morality check. It amuses me when we sit around and ask, “Why are things so difficult?” The answer is simple: it’s because we think it’s okay to skip this very important step in almost every part of our lives. We are all at fault in some way.
Let’s strive to live with an ethos that emphasizes fairness, service, honesty, truth, and caring for others. At Litefoot, that’s the ethos we strive for every day. Do we always hit the mark? No, but that’s the goal, and when you focus on these first principles, your results will be truly satisfying for everyone involved.
Big tech could certainly use an infusion of this ethos. Service and options are way down, but I’m hopeful that new ideas rooted in first principles will overtake these companies that dictate to the little guy how to spend their hard-earned money. Litefoot is extraordinarily equipped to help navigate this thing we call technology. We hold ourselves to a higher standard.
God bless.
